ANZSB Early-Mid Career Researcher (EMCR) Retreat
Early-mid career researchers in biomechanics in Australia and New Zealand are invited to attend our inaugural EMCR retreat on the weekend of the 2nd - 3rd of November, 2019 at the Gold Coast, Qld, Australia.
The purpose of the event is to provide an opportunity to network with other EMCRs to find synergies for collaborating on grants, research projects and HDR student supervision.
In addition, we will discussing strategies and sharing of resources for teaching biomechanics and hosting a successful National Biomechanics Day event.
The format of the weekend will be as follows:

*Please note that accommodation arrangements on the Gold Coast will be based on final numbers. This is a retreat where collaboration and networking are key, so in order to facilitate this we plan to all stay together, think “school camp”. The offset provided by ANZSB is designed to support this.
**Meals including dinners are not covered by ANZSB and will be incurred at the EMCR’s own expense. The dinners are programmed into the schedule to encourage networking outside of the formal activities during the day.
***An agenda for the meeting will be sent in advance to all attendees with more details when numbers are confirmed.
To assist attending the retreat, the first 15 EMCR ANZSB members who register their interest to attend will receive $100 from ANZSB to support travel costs associated with attending the retreat.
EMCRs who are interested in attending, or would like more information, can contact ANZSB EMCR representative Celeste Coltman (Celeste.Coltman@Canberra.edu.au). Expressions of interest to attend the retreat will close on the 30th of September, 2019.
